GTL: ‘Barre Braids’ and ‘Satin Strands’ Graced the Christian Siriano SS’24 NYFW Runway
Unilever and celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway’s ‘Barre Braids’ and ‘Satin Strands’ graced the Christian Siriano SS’24 NYFW runway.
A sprinkle of fairy dust, the shimmer of tulle, and the elegance of ballet were interwoven into the exquisite hairstyles that graced the Christian Siriano SS24 NYFW runway show.
Courtesy of the magical hands of Unilever and celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway, two mesmerizing styles, ‘Barre Braids’ and ‘Satin Strands,’ took center stage. These styles weren’t just ordinary hairdos
they embodied the enchanting aura of the garments Siriano showcased.Lacy’s creative spark ignited the moment she set eyes on the designs in Christian’s studio. These ‘Lazy Perfectionist’ hairstyles might appear simple, but Lacy’s elegant and unique twist makes them unforgettable.
Lacy recalls,
“The softness of the color tones, the richness of the fabrication, and the intricate layering of the tulle details of the gowns made it clear to me. To complement these delicate designs, the hair had to embody a clean girl aesthetic – soft yet structured, like a ballerina fairy twirling down the runway.”
Model Coco Rocha, among others, showcased the ‘Satin Strands.’ Characterized by sleek, straightened hair, this style was accentuated by invisible ribbon ‘extensions.’
These extensions subtly revealed themselves, playing peek-a-boo as models twirled, adding an element of surprise and enchantment to the look.
Thanks to Lacy Redway and TRESemmé, we have all the step-by-step details to share with you on how you can get both looks at home.
