GTL: TRESemmé X STAUD Create a 90s Italian Villeggiatura Vibe for NYFW


For the STAUD NYFW SS’24, celebrity hairstylist Renota Comparo brought a 90s Italian ‘villeggiatura’ vibe to the runway.

On September 10, 2023, STAUD held their NYFW SS’24 runway show. For their Spring/Summer 2024 collection, STAUD presented a collection that would be any minimalist’s dream.

The STAUD collection was a fusion of 90s fashion and the Italian concept, ‘villeggiatura.’

Villeggiatura = a luxurious, prolonged holiday where one can escape to relax and recharge

With the theme of the evening being all about a laid-back yet, luxurious vacation, celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora followed suit when creating the STAUD runway hair look, and said,

“The spirit of tonight is villeggiatura; meaning ‘long vacation’ in Italian. As a Sicilian, this concept to us evokes joy, effortlessness, and rawness. This notion was incorporated into the looks by setting the hair down and back and flowy while keeping the health of the hair in mind. Not only was tonight a villeggiatura but also a flash to the past – back to the 90s.”

The subtle yet glamorous look was crafted using TRESemmé products. Comparo continued,

The Breakdown
