Enchanting Evenings at the Salon of Seduction: Celebrating ‘Poor Things’ in Brooklyn

On December 7, 2023, Searchlight Pictures launched an extraordinary event – the Salon of Seduction – in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This event was organized to celebrate the release of the much-anticipated film, Poor Things, by the renowned director Yorgos Lanthimos, starring the acclaimed actress and producer Emma Stone.

Poor Things is a cinematic marvel brought by Yorgos Lanthimos and Emma Stone. The film narrates the extraordinary story of Bella Baxter (Stone), a woman resurrected by Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Joining forces with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), Bella embarks on an adventurous journey, championing equality and liberation, free from the confines of societal prejudices.

The experience was divided into three acts – science, pleasure, and beauty – each offering a theatrical take on the film’s themes, coupled with matching culinary tastes and exclusive cocktails from Fords Gin.

This unique event took place in Williamburg’s very own Maison Premiere and ran from December 8-10, 2023. For guests unable to attend the whole event, Poor Things could also be celebrated with mobile coffee carts in NYC and Los Angeles, providing complimentary beverages, light bites, and exclusive giveaways. These carts were located at AMC Lincoln Square in NYC and The Westfield Century City in LA from December 8-10 only.
