Converse and A-COLD-WALL* Unveil Collaboration on the Newly Announced Weapon OX
The style was originally released in 1986 during the NBA All-Star Weekend in Indiana but has since made a comeback in recent years with help from Rick Owens, Undefeated, and Fragment. The weapon made its official comeback last month, however.
The Weapon Ox is a new silhouette that adds a low-cut profile to Converse’s iconic basketball shoe. Converse and A-COLD-WALL* have created a rendition of several styles, including iconic pieces like the Chuck 70 to cutting-edge designs like the Geo Forma Boot, Sponge Crater, and Aeon Active CX. In this most recent phase, the partnership expands into new territory by assisting in the launch of a classic Converse heritage style that is influenced by the 1950s. Along with the new shoe design, a capsule collection will be released with unisex apparel, including a reversible jacket, t-shirt, and trousers.
The Converse x A-COLD-WALL* Weapon Ox has crinkled nylon and suede on a flint gray upper, giving a subversive twist to a classic sportswear design. The top includes a geometric tongue, semi-transparent sole, tonal stitching on the sidewall, first-speed lacing, contrasting rust lining, and three lacing options. A three-piece apparel capsule comprising a reversible jacket, tapered pants, and tee completes the collaboration’s current release. All three items have a casual gender-neutral fit, minimal branding, and little Converse and A-COLD-WALL* logos applied.
The Converse x A-COLD-WALL* Chuck 70 Ox released on March 11, 2024, but will release on Converse on March 14.
